MEET CHUCK BOUX

Chuck received his B.A. in Mathematics from the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1970. He later served in the U.S. Army before working in electrical construction through 1990.

At age 38, Chuck took two basic glass blowing classes at the Experimental Glass Workshop in New York City in 1989. In 1991, he founded the Sigma Glass Studio for the purpose of pursuing advanced glass layover techniques, turning hot glass bubbles inside out. Chuck has had numerous corporate commissions including the New York Yankees and Time Warner Communications. The Smithsonian Institution and the Office of Protocol at the U.S. Department of State have also purchased his work.

“ The combination of traveling and informally studying art for a lifetime led me to the vision of pieces I wanted to see happen. “
